Anyways back into the swing. Spent all night roughing some model sheets for the bomb squad characters. Trying to develop the male counterparts, and I am really happy with how they are turning out. I am a John Buscema fanatic. That guys was just amazing!! The biggest appeal to me was how natural all of his poses felt. No part was forced or out of place or awkward. Frazetta had that same sensitivity. And both of those guys were truly the best inkers in my book as well. And then you have Sienkiewics inking Buscema's drawings for Wolverine!!! POWERFUL!!
Anyways, I'll have some stuff up soon. Hang in tight and until then visit my buddy Justin's Deviant page jriggity. He just got on here and is a stop motion animator. I've worked with him for 8 years now and have nothing but respect and awe for what the guy can accomplish and the quality at which he produces. If you get a chance to see his animations, he has that Buscema/Frazetta sensitivity to the true relaxed nature of movement. Nothing is out of place, characters are always balanced and have a great deal of weight and character. Art is such a powerful means of communication!!!
Mahalo amigos!!
