Fried Green Computers

Fri Aug 7, 2009, 8:45 AM
Yessirreee....So the menu for this week has included going to war with the ex-landlord over the deposit, a parking ticket even though a pass was in the proper place, a weird growth on my eyeball(eeets a tuuumaaah!!!), a 2 hour ride home in traffic last night, a disgruntled old neighbor telling my buddies and I to keep it down while playing a game at 6pm on a weekend. This week could only be topped of with the best cherry of them all. A fried motherboard and an expired warranty. DOH!!!

The great thing is...I am extremely happy the shit hit the fan. I'm always suspect when things go well for a long period of time. I've been waiting for some troublesome stuff to happen, and I thank God that it is so minor...well...we will see what happens next week....HAHAHAHHAHA!!! Man we have it good in the US. There are places where their best day is 10 times worse than our bad day. I get accused of not worrying enough about things, but seriously...how much worrying gets ya through anything. It would be great if you could worry something like a flat tire back to full tire status. I imagine it would cause anyone to make the sound of a constipated grunt to do something like that if it were possible. I'm gonna go try it now............

...........I let the air out of one of my tires and gave it a go. Didn't work....probably shouldn't try that on a full stomach....AHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

So...I did manage to burn a disc to bring to work of the inked lines for the Tank Run piece before the computer kicked it. I will post them as soon as my work for the day is done.

On a super positive note ...the Nomad Gallery (www.themightynomad.com) found a home for its first show at The House of Secrets comic shop in Burbank, CA. If you live in another state don't fret, we will try our best to get the gallery traveling.

Will have some colored works up as soon as I can. The beautiful thing about a traditional medium, when the computer fries and the power is out, just light a candle, grab a jar of water and a brush and go to town.

Mahalo Amigos, Pura Vida, Feliz Cumpleanos and all that good stuff!!!

Worrying is a lot like a rocking chair. They both give you something to do...but neither of them get you anywhere.

Worrying is something I could definitely do less of, but that's just how I was built. Very true about how great we have it though. I think that is taken so much for granted.

Ha...damnn...I miss the south. Rocking chairs and lemonade....they go pretty well together for whatever reason. Cheers man, and thanks for reading. I thought it was too long winded, but seemed a good way to vent. By the way....what the hell is the little "Neutral" emoticon doing??? ---->

HAHAHAHAH...we should all walk down the street doing that....HAHAHAHAH

Wow... that is indeed beyond a triple wammy!
Sorry to hear. Hope the eyes ok, but great to know you have a wonderfully refreshing attitude towards it all. I agree, I try not to worry myself about uncontrollable things either... whats the point.
