Yeah, I know...she really has a cheesy name. But hey, I grew up on cheesy and damn proud of it!! So without further ado...here is what i have so far on these two.

Julie's dad was one of the most powerful guardians of the sacred stones and was under attack almost hourly. When Julie was 6 her family was on their way to Costa Rica from New York when her dads most trusted adviser detonated a bomb on the private jet. The bomb blew the plane in half. As the front end with Julie's parents in it exploded, Julie sitting in the back half as it hurled to the rain forest below clenched her stuffed panda and prayed for God to save them all.

When she came thru, Julie was in a hut in the middle of a lush paradise still clutching her panda. As it were a tribe of the rain forest had found her and thru a series of drawings she learned that she had been out for a week and that the front end of the plane was nothing but rubble. As she explained that her parents were in that part of the plane, the tribes leaders convened and decided that should she like to stay they would gladly adopt her.

With nowhere to turn Julie accepted the tribes offer. She would learn their language and their ways. Though it was the men's job to hunt and the women's job to gather, the tribe could not deny her uncanny ability to track anything at any distance. The tribe would let go of their customs this one time, as Julie was a foreigner to them in the first place. As they nurtured her tracking skills, they would teach her to become very adept with the bow and arrow, knives, and spears. In her free time she would track fish, as the water presented another challenge to the table.

In the tribes dealings with the neighboring villages they would often do business with a strange barbaric young man with the top half of a panda head as his head dressing and wielding a samurai sword (the tribes thought it was magic as they had no clue what a samurai sword was) The man had no name, but the tribes referred to him as Asesino del Oso Negro de Ojos (Killer of the Black Eyed Bear). He was the most skilled and fierce man this country (and others) had ever known. Julie was quite curious about the man as he too was not a native of this place. None of the tribes knew where he came from, but they knew the only thing they wanted was to be his friend.

The Killer of the Black Eyed Bear as it turns out, was from somewhere in East Asia. Not even he knew where. His parents somehow ended up in China, he was so young that he does not recollect them very well, only that they were savagely killed by the biggest panda on the planet. Thats right...on the planet!!! Enraged and in shock at his loss, he would go into a trance-like berserker state at the first glimpse of a panda. The Chinese government having learned of the near extinction of the panda by this 5 year old kid shoved him on a plane and dropped him over the Costa Rican rainforest. He emerged to do business with the tribes at about age 14.

Julie as the head tracker in her village would be the main liason between Panda Killer, as she would come to name him, and the other villages. For some reason she understood him where others hadn't and she grew fond of him. By the time she was 12...Julie and PK were the best of friends and their skills complemented each other very well. Her dads nature would emerge in her as she was very good at doing business with all the tribes as she and PK would supply them with protection, food, and furs and other necessities of living in the rainforest.

One evening after a long day, Panda Killer walked into Julies hut to count up the weeks take. Out of the corner of his eye he caught a glimpse of her stuffed panda and the berserker RAGED!!! Nothing was left of the stuffed panda when he was thru, nothing that is but a small crytalline stone that had been hidden inside along with a note from Julie's father.

In the note Julie told her of his duty as a guardian and how powerful dark forces would be after it and go to any extents to find it. He figured no one would ever thing to look in his daughters stuffed panda. He was wrong and ended up betrayed by one of his closest friends. The baton had been passed, Julie knew she must protect this stone with her life. And PK as her partner would do anything to protect her. They would find the edge of a waterfall deep in the jungle and set up a base there to protect the stone. If anyone was coming they would know days in advance through their relationships with the tribes and the energy they felt from the forest. The legend of the stone became known and had various renditions throughout the rainforest. None of them remotely true, all were but a myth.....until....THE BIGGEST PANDA ON THE PLANET emerged that fateful day on the shores of Costa Rica!!!

To be continued....
